we’re back :)

& We missed you.

beautiful sphynx cat Odysseus.jpg
my dearest tiger lamb monkey baby, Odysseus, says hi!

Now all we have to figure out is how to work with the redesign that wordpress has thrown at us so our return to blogging is less painful in the future. Today, we couldn’t reply to waiting comments without signing in multiple times. On the plus side, I was able to follow my own blog since WordPress didn’t recognize us as ourselves. Bonus!!

Then we had trouble uploading Odie’s newest pic that we took this morning.  He’s missed you guys too, and wanted to say hi. Plus, he loves photo shoots with is Momma because he gets lots of treats, grooming and attention. Yayyy. Once we got his pic uploaded, we couldn’t figure out how to write in these paragraphs (you’re seeing now) above and below Odie’s portrait. So he turned on his side and went to sleep, while assuring me that, “Momma could do it on her own.” I did. Odie’s still sleeping, btw.

Good news: we finally got there/here and are happy to be sharing with you.

Boy, have we missed you all!

So we have to ask:

Is anyone else feeling like the new user interface is harder to use??

Please share you thoughts.

** we promise to post more soon.

Hugs and love, always…

O and OM.

Waking beauty : persistence pays

Dearest Odyssians,
Odie, my hairless cat, practically gnawed my face off this morning until I woke up, at six am, and opened the window for him to bird watch. As part of what is fast becoming his new daily routine, I also have to cover his bald body with his fuzzy blanket just so, or else he’s too cold to sit in the ‘chill’ morning air.  Today’s artic temperature before sunrise: 65° Fahrenheit.

Did I ever mention I go to bed at four am? well, I go to sleep at four am. Every night. And now I’m up. Blogging. While odie watches birds flit past his screened-in perched.

No sleep for the odie mamas. I am glad he’s happy though. Bastard. Lovely, lovely bastard.

Quodies: happy pawing – no declawing

Dearest Odyssians,

Happy cats love having all of their fingers and toes. Happy cats love being loved more than furniture and rugs. Happy cats know that smart owners can protect furniture with blankets until ‘company’  visits. Happy cats know that they can have their nails trimmed every two weeks to keep scratch damage down.  Happy cats love that there are so many preferable options to declawing.  Happy cats want to have their paws remain healthy and whole so they can remain healthy and whole. Happy cats know that declawing has been banned in many progressive countries, including parts of the United States. Happy cats thank you for reading this post.

For more information on the truth about what declawing does to cats please watch this incredible documentary,  available via Netflix and other streaming services.

Two whole paws and two whole legs up for your support.

Odie the hairless blogging sphynx.

and his mom, odie mama.

Art beautiful : lions ablaze

Dearest odyssians,

When odie is dreaming,  I bet this is what he feels he looks like – A great big firey & brave majestic lion! Hes my little warrior monkey cuddle hero, in full possession of a soft heart that doesnt telegraph his Strong core  and beautifully strange appearance. Speaking of appearances, and keeping them up – Today,  he took his washcloth bath like a champ – i Barely heard a cry of complaint from him. For this I was proud. I was also glad to not suffer the scratches of his resisting disapproval.
Alrighty then. Its bedtime again.. for those to the east and west.
